Hello, my name is Philip Knott.

I’m an online and Suffolk-based psychotherapist, with an emphasis on what it means for us to exist in the World.

I specialise in online therapy.

Get to know yourself.

Whoever you are, to clarify experiences, tell your story, gain insight and reflect on your situation will help put you in touch with yourself, your power to choose, your limitations and possibilities.

I’m a UKCP registered existential psychotherapist.

I have recently worked in the NHS for two years within Guy’s & St Thomas’ Cancer Care services.

Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I am also a practising solicitor in the City of London.

I offer short or long-term therapy on an individual basis.

We seek psychotherapy or counselling for all sorts of different reasons.

If you are considering therapy, the chances are that you’re currently confronted by a particular problem, you’re looking for support to help you cope with a moment of crisis in your life or you want to improve one or more of your close relationships. People struggling with difficult feelings such as sadness, anger, depression, anxiety or a lack of confidence or self-esteem also often find the process helpful.

Working with me offers an opportunity for you to talk to someone in a confidential, non-judgemental setting, allowing you time and space to explore whatever it is that you wish to. Often, it is through exploration of our thoughts and feelings that we are able to clarify and reflect on our situation and from there see the choices available to us. The process can be challenging; the hard work put in most often rewarded.

My approach

I recognise that for all of us Life can often be confusing, contradictory and at times extremely testing. At any stage we can be faced with feelings of sadness, anger or loneliness.

You may feel lost and uncertain or Life might seem meaningless. In my existential psychotherapy practice I endeavour to address such questions whilst taking into account the uniqueness of your individuality and specific needs.
